On Tuesday 10th November 2009, Bowler Off Road will be launching their team for the Dakar 2011, at the World Travel market, ExCel, Docklands in London UK.
The team is spearheaded by Mark Jennings-Bates, an Anglo/Canadian Rally driver who intends to not only complete, and finish strong, in the 2011 race with Mick Extance in the co driver seat, but to also raise £2m for charities 'Just a Drop' and 'Fe Viva'. A 6 part TV documentary has already started production to follow this amazing story. For more info www.rally4life.org It would be great if Eurosport were to follow their build up and preparation for the 2011 event. They are going to need all the support they can get!! Mick Extance is delighted to be entering the race once again after not competing in the forthcoming 2010 event, and may even be swapping seats to the one with the steering wheel for 2012.
