I am not insecure - I like to watch some players and some I can happily not watch - colour/nationality has nothing to do with it.

What would have happened had it been say victoria azarena?
I would still have expected her to be suspended and I am sure that you would be saying the same thing.

It makes me wonder sometimes whether serena's fans really appreciate her talents or support her because of her colour and/or her nationality.

We were told she was going to get her punishment 2 weeks ago, then a week ago. Now i'm hearing a few days. Honestly, they are not going to suspend her because the WTA is in jeopary of loosing their contract with Sony Ericsson due to the financial crisis and also absences of the top players. If not for the Williams Sisters, the End of Year Championship with the big prize money would be worthless and empty seats. They need the Williams Sisters. They need to careful what they do because these girls don't need tennis to survive. They are doing it cause they love it.

My guess would be charity work. Some way of spreading the word about Womens tennis.

According to a news report the lawyer has sent the letters detailing his 'punishment' to the various heads of wta slams and if they disagree then they have to come to a unanimous decision as to her 'punishment'. Seems a bit pointless him making the report in the first place - should have just let them decide.
